In an attempt to get more regulated spacing for my parsnips this year I am pre-germinating my seeds by soaking them in some warm water for an hour or two and then laying the seeds in some damp paper towel sealed in a plastic bag until the radical emerges. Once the seeds have started to germinate I will sow them using the seeding square into the deep root veg bed.

March, Week 4

Ten days after placing parsnip seeds into damp aper towels, enough had germinated to sow the pre-sprouted seeds into the deep root veg bed in the garden.
