Welcome to the New Year!
I have decided to give the whole ‘picture a day’ idea a go alongside the blog, as it’s something I have never attempted before. Will I manage 366 photographs? Who knows, but if you want to watch the days when I do manage to take a successfully pretty or interesting shot, I’ll be putting each picture up on Instagram.
I’d be fibbing if I said I believed that many of my pictures are likely to be something other than a mixture of yarn and fabric, cute babies and occasional cake. If you want to follow along, then my Instagram feed can be found here: https://www.instagram.com/eskimimi or just search for my user name: ‘eskimimi‘.
If you are thinking about taking part in a daily photograph challenge of any kind, please pop your user name into the comments so that I can follow along with all the pretty pictures!
I saw your pic this morning and was hoping there was a blog post coming! I’m pretty good about posting so I’ll join in on the fun! Instagram name is jenknittingaround (I think you already follow me but if anyone else cares to find me!)
Oh, that’s brilliant. Yes, I do follow you, and hopefully there will be a few more taking part, too! I look forward to seeing what you post throughout the year! 🙂
You know, that’s a really good idea, especially with a new baby coming in the spring. I think I’ll give it a go! I’m here: https://www.instagram.com/reedsandstrings/
I tried last year…let’s see how successful I am this year…I think you started following me last week, when I found you….graceysgoodies…
I keep meaning to try one of these photo-a-day things. thanks for the motivation!

I’m noticing that there are several bloggers I enjoy now on Instragram. Baby photos from friends may push me finally into getting an account… (sjn821 on Rav)
That colourwork pattern is so pretty, I can’t believe you made it up just like that 🙂
Do you mean the gold and purple? If so that’s not my stitch pattern, it’s a variation of a very, very old stitch pattern. I was only charting it as I wanted to make a few adjustments and turn it into a garter slipstitch variation, plus it comes from a book so old that there is no chart, only written instructions, and I am far too impatient to work from it! 😀
Yes, I somehow commented on the wrong post 🙂 I still thing it’s very clever! I don’t see garter colourwork like that often.
