WIP: Warm And Cosy
I wanted to use the remnants of yarn left over from my Mrs Tumnus shawl for a little project, to make the most out of the yarn that I had. I have about 20g of yarn left over and so drafted a design on the drawing board of my little brain as to what it was to become. And for a little side project that I could foresee as taking me no more than a couple or so hours to complete, I have re-started this little idea more than any other pattern to date.
Because I have in mind to combine a few different but easy techniques there are a few technical difficulties that I am still working out, but every change seems to find me casting on the project anew.
I have decided to ask Mr Awesome to re-wind my yarn into a nice little centre-pull skein so that when I start the next (and hopefully final) attempt to get this right it will feel fresh and new from the ball.
If all goes well I will be offering the pattern as a free download to all those knitters that have downloaded the Mrs Tumnus Shawl, to use up any small remnants of yarn from making the shawl. Hopefully some of those knitters joining in one of the two Mrs Tumnus KALs on Ravelry will be able to make use of this mystery object once their shawl has been completed. The main KAL on the Eskimimi Makes board on Ravelry is all set to cast on once Friday 1st March rolls around, so if you’d like to join in please find a skein of yarn and head over to the KAL thread to join in.
